With Jack White and Alicia Keys chosen to perform the new James Bond soundtrack in place of Amy Winehouse, she’s in the mood to prove a point.
Winehouse told New magazine, “I guess they are going for clean-cut and boring… [They] made a big mistake. If they want a worldwide hit, I have them all up here [pointing to her head].”
She is now contemplating releasing the track she had already begun making with Mark Ronson, on the same day as the official James Bond song’s release…
“When I do release mine – and I am tempted to do it on the same day – this would be the bigger hit. If they change their minds, I’m waiting!”

Mark Ronson has blogged in response to Noel Gallagher’s criticism on Friday that he should “learn 3 chords on the guitar and write a tune”.
Noel Gallagher, singer and guitarist from British rock band Oasis, appeared on the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast show with Chris Moyles last week to play the new Oasis single.
In an apparently “still drunk” state Gallagher was asked his opinion on Ronson, to which he responded, “He wants to write his own tunes instead of ruining everybody else’s… Mark Ronson needs to learn 3 chords on the guitar and write a tune.”
On his MySpace blog yesterday Ronson hit back, “I just wanted [Noel Gallagher] to know that i’m actually taking guitar lessons from Jay-Z right now and he’s already taught me both chords to “Wonderwall” (tune!).”
He continues, “In fact, it’s so much fun having Jay teach me all of noel’s songs on the guitar (hooray!) that i”m thinking of doing an Oasis/Jay Z remix album a la “The Grey Album”.”
UK listeners can play back to the Radio 1 interview here until 22 August (interview starts at 1hr 36mins).
